Summary:
This is a second batch of Blueberry Stout (the first of this year). It evidently was far better received than I anticipated, so I am honoring the requests for an encore batch.
7/17 @ 11:45PM — I used the Munton’s malt can of Stout on this batch, like I did on the previous one, so brewing was faster than a normal partial mash (under 60 minutes)… from startup until cleanup. No change from the original batch in this brew session.
7/23 @11:00PM — The Final Gravity was still a bit high, but the flavor is good. Yield: 2x 1L, 1x34oz, 49x 12oz.
8/26 @ 10:00PM — This batch came out as good as the first batch of the year. The wort is sweet but balanced with the natural stout hopping. There were a number of bottles that were over-carbonated in the first batch (one bottle even exploded in the conditioning bin). The carbonation in this bottle was smooth (like Guiness) and about 1/2 inch thick.
A very nice batch.
