Summary:
This was a simple Pilsner I made from an extract can, and left in the fermentation bucket 6 weeks longer than intended. I was thinking it was not going to be good anymore, but on a hunch, I carefully cleaned the container and examined the wort. It was perfect. So I decided to bottle it.
The yield was 59x 12oz, 1x 24oz, and 1x 20oz snap-on. I had to create a sugar solution and add some spare yeast, since the yeast in the fermentation bucket was obviously dead after so long. I used a medicine dropper full of the mixture per bottle, before siphoning the wort into it.
28 April 2012 @ 11:18PM — This Pilsner came out quite well, but not quite a Pilsner. In fact, the taste is close to Yuengling lager, just not as sweet. It had a decent head, and a very smooth taste. I’m very pleased with the result of this one.
