Summary:
A proven recipe from Heart’s Home Brew.
Dec 22 @ 1:00PM — An uneventful brewing session. The last time I made this beer, I felt like 1/2 teaspoon of Irish Moss would help make it a bit clearer, so I added it about halfway into the boil. That was the only change.
Jan 5 @ 1:00PM — Bottling had a good yield (about 58 12oz). Priming was corn sugar soaked in some yeast starter, which was left over from the fermentation, and rejuvinated with some additional corn sugar for food. The bottling occurred one week later than I had planned, so the yeast and sugar combination has worked in the past to ensure that there is enough yeast for conditioning to start.
Jan 12 @ 9:00PM — The initial sampling showed low carbonation. It is clearly carbonating, but I am worried the corn sugar volume may have been too low.
